One constant in these difficult times is Jay`s crossword, as excellent as usual this week. Thanks to the Setter and 2Kiwis. The best clues for me were 11a, 9d and 16d. I read 17d as a charade that combines a verb to crack and a term for a shooter. The brilliant enigma of the Wednesday cross, as Gazza says, it`s so nice to have something you can count on right now. I thought it was Jay`s delicate side – or that I was just suffering from a confused hemisphere? I love spolomerisms, but I`ve never had the second track 7d – never heard of it. I got 1a for the wrong reason – I thought `Times` = `multiply` = `square` – oh, never. I missed the 10a Lurker — something else that doesn`t change. Try to make 3D an animator (revitalization) of culture, including a scam. Overall, a bit of a pig`s ear really, but on the plus side, I remembered the 16d key. Thanks to Jay and the 2K. I also discovered this wonderful blog about two years ago, and my solution capabilities have increased dramatically. Before I started, I was like you and I could only have a quarter of the crossword puzzles. For me too, cheating with cryptics does not exist. It doesn`t matter how to get the answer as long as you understand why it`s the answer. Fraud is not for crossword puzzle tests and exams that are for fun. What a puzzle of jay quality all along the way. It was nice to sit back, relax and leave. How do stters maintain quality?
